Validation Overview

Validation Step by Step

  1. Go to the Configuration Center- Make sure the relevant process was added to My Processes.

  2. Click on the process you are validating and go to the Configuration Version record of this process.

  3. Status Design- Make sure that all the required changes of the process were implemented. If you have more requests open a configuration item. 

  4. Move to the Testing status- Make sure that the URS/UAT was updated with all the changes you added in the Design status. If not- click on Recreate process documentation. In this step you can add requirements that are not added automatically and update the wording of the URS/UAT. 

  5. Dry Run- In the Testing status click on the UAT tab🡪 Execute UAT.
Go over the instructions, check that you understand all the requirements.

  6. Move to the Validation status- 

    a. Sign the URS.

    b. Sign the UAT 🡪 click on the Execute UAT 🡪 check each test and mark Passed/Failed.
* If a deviation fails, open a configuration item.

    c. Sign the TMX.

  7. Move to the Migration status- click on Passed Validation and from here the success team will finish the migration process to production.
