SSO

At Simploud, we prioritize security and user convenience.

By leveraging Salesforce’s powerful authentication mechanisms, Simploud supports a wide range of Single Sign-On (SSO) options, allowing your users to seamlessly and securely access Simploud without the hassle of multiple logins.

SSO Options Available in Simploud.

Simploud’s SSO capabilities align with Salesforce’s SSO options, providing flexibility to integrate with various identity providers (IdPs).

Here are some of the options:

1. Federated Authentication using SAML

Overview

SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) is a widely adopted standard for exchanging authentication data between an Identity Provider (IdP) and a Service Provider (SP).

How It Works

Simploud, as a Service Provider, will trust the authentication assertion sent by your company’s IdP after users log in to your corporate identity system.

Benefits

No need for separate Simploud credentials; users can log in using their corporate identities. This option is ideal for organizations with centralized identity management.

2. OAuth 2.0 for Authentication

Overview

OAuth 2.0 is an open standard for access delegation, commonly used as a way for users to grant websites or applications limited access to their information without exposing their passwords.

How It Works

OAuth 2.0 allows your users to log in to Simploud using their credentials from trusted OAuth providers, such as Google, Microsoft, or Facebook.

Benefits

Streamlined authentication with providers your users already trust.

3. Delegated Authentication

Overview

Delegated Authentication allows your organization to delegate the authentication process to an external web service.

How It Works

Users log in through your existing corporate identity system, and Simploud passes authentication requests to that system. If validated, users can access Simploud.

Benefits

Simplifies password management and strengthens security by avoiding password storage in Simploud.

Considerations

e- Signature:

Simploud complies with 21 CFR Part 11 regulations, ensuring the secure and compliant use of electronic signatures throughout the platform. To verify user identity, Simploud leverages Salesforce’s login mechanism, requiring manual entry of user credentials for every e-signature to ensure security and compliance.

MFA:

since February 2022 Salesforce requires MFA in all orgs. When activating SSO, customers are fully responsible for the protection of accounts that are accessed using their SSO identity provider (IdP).

Simploud Success Access:

as Simploud success user must have access to the customer’s orgs, for maintenance, support and update purposes, access the org with Salesforce credentials must be preserved.
