Reports and Dashboards

What is a report?

A report is a list of records that meet the criteria you define. It’s displayed in rows and columns, and can be filtered, grouped, or displayed in a graphical chart.

Users and groups could subscribe to reports and get them directly to their email at a frequency they choose, i.e., my overdue tasks, my team’s overdue tasks, etc.

What is a dashboard?

Dashboards are visual representations of metrics and trends for records in your system.
On the home screen, a default dashboard can be assigned to a profile.

Reports and Dashboards

With the wealth of information in Simploud, it is vital to know how to extract the relevant and important data. Not only do you have access to a whole host of pre-built Reports which you can run as is or customize, you can create Custom Reports specific to Users’ requirements.

Reports

A report is a list of records displayed in rows and columns, and can be filtered, grouped, or displayed in a graphical chart. Every report is stored in a folder that can either be public, hidden, or shared, and can be set to read-only or read/write. System admin controls who can access to the folder based on roles, permissions, public groups, and license types. A Folder can be available to the entire organization or set as private so that only the owner has access.
There are numerous standard Reports already created for you in Simploud. The greatest strength is that you can edit these Reports and save them under a different name in a different folder to match different requirements.

Go to the App Launcher icon and search for “Reports” or choose the ”Reports” tab
To create a new report, simply click on the “New Report” button as marked
Now choose the report type, be sure to choose the right report type since it determines which records and fields the report returns. If non of the proposed reports fits, the admin could create a custom report. We’ll recommend using “Other reports” section to see Simploud’s reports.

Now you can customize the report by adding or removing fields by using columns on the left.

You can easily subscribe to the report’s mailing list and determine frequency, days and time.
Use the small arrow next to any report and choose ”Subscribe”, then choose the wanted frequency, day and time.

Dashboards

A dashboard is a visual display of key metrics and trends for records in the organization environment. The relationship between a dashboard component and a report is 1:1; for each dashboard component, there is a single underlying report. However, the same report can be used in multiple dashboard components on a single dashboard (e.g., use the same report in both a bar chart and a pie chart form). Multiple dashboard components can be shown together on a single dashboard page layout, creating a powerful visual display and a way to consume multiple reports that often have a common theme.
Go to the App Launcher icon and search for “Dashboards” or choose the ”Dashboards” tab
To create a new dashboars, simply click on the “New Dashboard” button as marked

Give the dashboard a name and description, then choose a folder to save it into for further use or sharing.
Click “Create”

The grid layout in the dashboard builder, lets yo place components wherever they will have the most impact. To add one, click the “+ Component” button, select the source report with the wanted data. Each component draws from a single report and you can use different reports for different components.
