Enforcement of Domains for Email Security
Salesforce Enforcing Mandatory Email Domain Verification – Action Required
We are aware of the recent Product & Service Notification from Salesforce regarding mandatory domain ownership verification for outbound email.
Salesforce will begin enforcing strict domain ownership verification starting March 9, 2026. This update strengthens email security and adds an additional layer on top of existing user-level email verification.
What Is Changing?
Salesforce will only send emails from verified domains.
If a domain is not verified, emails sent from that domain will not be delivered.
This applies to native Salesforce and Simploud email sending (Flows, Apex, Case emails, etc.).
User email verification remains mandatory.
Important Deadlines
Sandbox deadline: March 30, 2026
Production deadline: April 27, 2026
New domains added after March 9, 2026 require immediate verification.
Does This Affect You?
If you already have DKIM configured in Salesforce for your sending domain, this update is not relevant to you.
If DKIM is active and your domain is verified, no action is required and email delivery will continue as normal.
If DKIM is not configured, domain verification will be required before the applicable deadline.
How to Resolve
Salesforce provides official documentation explaining how to configure DKIM keys, verify authorized email domains, and update DNS records. You can search for its documentation.
Moreover, you can navigate to Simploud documentation for the implementation page.
