Tasks

A task is an engine of the system, used for controlling the system.
It enables record owners to assign user tasks, track overdue tasks, and filter out completed ones.
In Simploud, we have 3 types of tasks:

Workflow Tasks: 

These tasks control the record’s lifecycle and are created after a status update.

The assigned user must complete them before moving to the next status.

Once completed, they drive the status change.

Current tasks are removed and new tasks assigned as needed.

Training Tasks: 

Training tasks relate to Controlled Documents or Training Material processes, designed to improve employees’ skills and knowledge.
Training tasks are permanent and can be assigned manually or automatically to specific users or groups.

These tasks are binary (completed/uncompleted).

General Tasks: 

Under this category, the user can assign small and quick actions to different users using the plus icon.

For example, tasks can include investigation tasks, periodic reviews, or asking a manager to extend the record due date.
